For DS Pokemon games, or rather DS games in general, I simply download them onto an R4. No money involved.

I just use emulators for GBA games, but I might search for more on other systems.

Can you tell me where to download the DS emulator and the ROM?

I use the No$gba NDS emulator and downloaded rom from Rom-Freak. Btw! This Platinum is pure awesomeness! I don't know why a lot people arguing about the story!

Well... No... actually 80% Different! ( The remaining 20% is for staying connected to DP) But for example, Now oyu get your starter pokemon on route 201. Some Gym Leaders have been reordered... A new area ( The Disortion World) is accessible, and exclusively to Platinum: A WHOLE VILLA FOR THE PLAYER!!!... when first entering into the Resort Area... and hell lot of changes in both Gameplay, Pokemons, Maps, Aesthetic and Storyline. It's like a brand new Gen IV game! That's why I always play the 3th Game of each gen.. ( Emerald, Crystal, Platinum) There are always more improvements in them!

I think they just made a third one to make extra money for such little updates.

Anyway... In D/P you can get an Eevee after the completion of the sinnoh dex! BUT... in Platinum, you can get an Eevee right after you get into Hearthome and talk to Bebe!
Even a Pyrogon in Veilstone city, and a Togepi egg in Eterna City ( From Cynthia)
