As you know, when you defeat a trainer for the first time, they give a considerate amount of money, then when you go to challenge them again for more cash, they give you about 1/5 the amount you got from them the first time or something close to that.

My suggestion, and this is really gonna help out the people who forget about their pkmn in the daycare... make wild pokemon drop pokedollars too.

Either that or make the trainers all give at least 250 - 300 pokedollars each after the first challenge.

Actually I trained meowth to persian and it never learned payday.

He learns it at 18 or 20(according to gen III move sets) he evolves at 28 were he also learns Faint attack(he did).So I believe Pay day is either bugged or taken out.

My friend also lvl'd a meowth to lvl 23 and got nothing.

Also this money subject was kinda discussed a bit in this thread.

But otherwise, even if this thread gets deleted, if Fint wont raise the amount the trainers give, or if pkmn wont give money, then well just have to ask for him to fix payday, wont we?

Dont worry about it, I just link it so you could read the other ideas, the OP idea wasn't the same as this.

its close to lapras with the perish song, it was suppose to learn it at level 27 but never did, accoring to the guide i was looking at which was serebii, may not be correct

It's Incorrect. He learns it at level 25. You were probably looking at Gen 4. Serebii is confusing.

As always I wouldn't mind a boost in the money, it isn't fun grinding for at least an hour just to gain 10k.
It'd make it for myself and others more inclined to play and actually help out more often.

Pay day was taken out because of the possibility to abuse it.
Basically you can keep using it and for each time you do you get (if you win) twice the pokemon's level in money.
I could try add a balanced version of it in the game but, suggestions?

Also, keep in mind that this game is NOT finished.
Trainers will gives more and more money the higher level Pokemon they have.
Buying TM's, berries and vitamins is supposed to be for level 90+ people.

The reaosn why it seems so hard to get now is because we are still playing 1/3th of a game.

Yes, its true that payday would be abused in such a way, but I would prefer you find a way to balance it out... like... add about... 1/4 the rechallenge amount? maybe a bit more? Also, make the attack very strong, so people cant use it repeatedly against... well... its a normal attack, so people would try to abuse it using rock pokemon, wouldnt they...?

Perplexing to say the least, but if we can find a way to get payday back in, I wont complain.

Possibly changing it so it gives money if you faint the Pokemon? It might be too little, seeing the maximum you can get per battle is 60, if your Pokemon is level 30. But it is decent if you're only fighting a mere wild Pokemon.

ah I imagined something like that was the case, all though would like to see it on so I'll try some half assed math here :p.
This is the original formula
Normal ATK40 ACC 100
Collect money after battles (unless you run). Money = user's level * mod * times used. Mod is 10 for FireRed/LeafGreen.

M = L*M*T
300 = 20*10*1

I suggest just changing the mod to 5 and always halving the level so something like this
M = L/2 *M*T
50 = 20/2 * 5 * 1

50 is a decent number for our "economic flow" imo.Its not too high but its not yet on the point of being useless.Now my only concern would be T (times used) I think that one is fine like it is, with it you'd be able to rack up some nice bonuses if you wish but is not as easy as killing one caterpie for 300$.For the simple reason that Payday its still a weak attack so it would be harder to stack.All though if it seems to dangerous you could always just remove the T out completely or cap at 3 or something.

I'd say remove the T, since if your Pokemon's level was, let's say, 28, you would gain 14 money * 5, which is 70. And hey, it's pretty decent because you're also training the Pokemon at the same time.
