A great idea just hit me!

I was looking at my older Pokemon TCG cards, well there was some packs that gave alternate types of Pokemon,
like aa electric/steal type Charizard or a fire type Pikachu etc.
What if the next region was like this (By the way this region is called Holon).
It'd be a nice twist and the Pokemon you catch there can only stay in Holon and Pokemon you catch in Kanto etc stay in the other areas, or you maybe make a special sign next to the Pokemon's HP to show it's an alternate type or known as a delta species.

Any thoughts?

Too complicated, think it will throw off the Pokemon Equilibrium.
Also, Pikachu would have to be named something else like Surfing Pikachu to not get mixed with the original. But good idea! Just my thoughts..

I think it would cause far too much confusion with ordinary pokemon types.

I think it will be better to find a Pikachu who knows Surf or a Charizard Who Knows Steel Wing. This way the pokemon stays the same, just not the move set. Who wouldn't want a Golem who knows Thunder or a Pidgey who knows Flamethrower?

That sounds easy, but you will have to make another different Pokemon all-together.
So Pikachu normal version is probably coded as Pikachu.
So if you want another one, you'll probably have to make WaterPikachu to separate it from normal Pikachu.
Then you will need to code in its evolutions as well, which will also be WaterRaichu or something around those lines. Its a cool idea, but having one Pikachu to look up in all the lines of code is hard enough. This will come great in the TCG though.

It wasn't so great for the TCG, but I just thought it'd work for Citrine.

it would take too long of a time also i think... because if they are making a pokemon for each type.. we will have 16x more pokemon to be coded in. that seems to be way too much.

though a water type golem or a fire type venasaur would be hilarious

Give Gyarados a nice coat of feathers and a pair of wings sprouting out the back of it's neck, and we've got the first ever flying type Gyarados.. Give him steel wing, wing attack, fly .. and like a custom move. Hyper Gust Beam... We're all set. xP

Besides, I know all the counter parts of the Pokeon or go with the first part of Holon- all Electric/steel.

In the End, I rather have Fint work on Johto pokemon than originals.

Of course Gyarados is flying, considering it never actually flies in the anime episodes up to the point I'm at, but you can't tell me you don't want to see a Gyarados Chicken. >>; xD

I like Johto, but the original set will always be my top. Johta was great and all, and the new pokemon enlisted into that region/season(s) were good, but with each Generation of pokemon, I lose more and more interest.. I started out on Ruby & Sapphire (alternating between them and 2 other pokemon games), and I really didn't want the starter pokemon, nor did I care for much of what was in the grass. Zigzagoon was great, but only because he kept bringing me loads of great things like rare candies, full restores, etc. Beautifly was nice, Poochyena was cool, but he was a weaker start out, and Wingull was decent for the start up to the first gym, but I barely found any real attachment to those pokemon.. I've forgotten almost all the 3rd Gen pokemon, so I'm refamiliarizing myself. I don't quite like the idea of Legendaries being up for grabs or being catchable, but in honesty, I really loved Latias & Latios being obtainable in the games. >>;
Not quite sure why, but I just like those 2 Legendaries. They don't really seem all -that- powerful. I liked their anime presence and personalities.

Oh and you meen you rather have me work on hoen Pokemon? The johto pokemon are already finished

I currently mapping orange islands and the jogto region.

Gen 3 was kinda iffy on the new pokemon... i really dont even remember most of them.

Well at least it was a little more balanced than gen 4... how many fire types did they introduce? 1? maybe 2? the only new fire type i remember was chimchar...

Heatron was one too.. I believe. It was Fire/Steel if I remember correctly. x.x

Hmm good idea but maybe you can make them a rare encounter like the shinies are, that would be interesting.
